Nature for student’s life: The impact of the outdoor greenness on mental wellbeing and chronic absenteeism
School outdoor greenness is recognised as a vital component of the everyday, local environment for young people, influencing their mental wellbeing and attendance. Despite the acknowledged importance of school playgrounds and green spaces, there is limited empirical evidence regarding how their availability correlates with health outcomes in school-aged populations. This study will use longitudinal data in a cohort of children and adolescents aged 8 to 18 years at schools across several cities in the UK.
